The Vacheron cousins own 1 hectare of vines in the lieu-dit of Le Paradis. Their plot is on a steep south-facing slope with shallow limestone soils. The soil is so thin and poor that the vine roots grow deeply into fissures in the bedrock below. Bourgogne aligoté is a delicious white wine that is young, stylish and is a little different. It is pale gold in color and offers a well-balanced taste, and ranges from a fruity bouquet with notes of apple and lemon to a more floral palette. In the mouth, this vibrant wine tickles the taste buds.
Certified in Organic Agriculture, this wine is made from the white Aligoté grape variety grown in the Hautes Côtes-de-Nuits appellation zone, on clay-limestone and marl soils. Average age of the vines: 25-35 years.

The wine has a ruby colour with density and beautiful purple glints.
The first nose, superb, immerses uncompromisingly in essences of fruits and flowers oscillating between blueberry and violet. There is also a nice bouquet of spices of white pepper and cloves. After swirling, smokier notes and fresher notes of red cedar finally exhale.
The mouth is very elegant, its attack is round and suave. The balance and accuracy of this wine are impressive. When the wine takes on its full expression, we enjoy the fruity and floral notes perceived on the nose, full of brilliance and delicacy. Its length on the palate, fine and tasty, already shows its ability to age long and well.
Of all the Domaine’s wines, this is the most forward. It opens up sooner than the others, with a ravishing clarity of expression, uncomplicated and cleanly etched; a caressing softness cloaks a steely skeleton which permits it to evolve with elegance. He is the younger brother of Grands Échézeaux, the glorious elder whose fortune Échézeaux aspires to equal. Condrieu has the best terroir in the world for the Viognier grape. That is not to say, however, that it is easy to make great Viognier here.
