TD-9 is a proprietary blend that celebrates a bold move. In 1973, in the space of a few months, John Shafer went from riding morning commuter trains in Chicago to teaching himself to drive a TD-9 tractor in our Napa Valley vineyard. He’d never grown grapes or made wine in his life. That spirit of risk-taking and adventure still guides Shafer today and inspired the creation of this new wine.

Each lot of wine was fermented naturally using native, wild yeast, and the grapes were all crushed by foot so as to not break the stems left in the fermenting must. The finished wine is bright and flavorful, with a fascinating combination of mineral and earthiness. The Carignan fruit is stylish, incorporating elements of wild cherry, plum and black fig, while the Grenache and Mourvèdre add exotic aromas of wild herbs and lavender. An intense ruby color, the Château de Parenchère Bordeaux Supérieur is full and fleshy with a strong underlying structure. It displays intense red fruit aromas of cassis and black cherry with elegantly soft tannins. There is a great balance between the ripe fruit expression and the wine’s freshness.

The 2017 vintage is beautifully balanced from start to finish. Aromas of black cherry, ripe blackberry and cedar are evident at first swirl. After several minutes of airing, the wine opens up and reveals earthy spices of cedar, mushroom, dried thyme and dried sage. On the palate, the wine is delicious with a silky lushness and tannins that are elegant. Rich flavors of black currant, spiced plum and raspberry come forward with notes of allspice and fine leather. The finish is seamless and well integrated. This wine will age beautifully and develop in the bottle for years to come.

This is a project born out of friendship and a longing to return to ones roots. Master Sommelier and proprietor of Miura Vineyards, Emmanuel Kemiji and Chefs Gerald Hirigoyen, Sylvain Portay and Laurent Manrique. In 2010 a winery was finally completed and over time the production will reach a scant 2500 cases but the object here has never been commercial and is instead driven by quality and pride.
The name Clos Pissarra is derived from the Catalan word for slate, as this is the soil that covers the regions of Montsant (sacred mountain) and Priorat (priory), that lie about 85 miles southwest of Barcelona.
This Grenache, Syrah blend is a dense, ripe and juicy wine with moderate acidity. Less than 500 cases produced

Bright, and maroon in color, this wine has aromas of ripe fruit such as blackberry, plum, and a touch of cherry as well as aromatic herbs like rosemary. There is the marked presence of barrel. $90.00Aloxe-Corton is the home village of the Latour family who have been closely involved in the affairs of the commune for over three centuries. The Aloxe-Corton "Les Chaillots" shows a deep garnet color with a nose of cherry, nutmeg and spicy notes. Ample on the palate, it is complex with aromas of undergrowth, raspberry, licorice and coffee. Very nice freshness on the finish.

Napanook is a blend of Bordeaux varietals specifically selected from the estate vineyard for their lively fruit and bold character. Napanook wines are youthful and exuberant, meant to be enjoyed regularly when a more casual wine is called for.
This wine was aged 24 month in Slovenian oak barrels and then aged an additional 8 months in bottle.
The bouquet is intense, fruit forward, spicy, and floral with hints of red berry fruits enriched by delicate spicy notes. Warm, soft, and very well balanced and structured with soft tannins and a long finish.
