Sourced from low-yielding vineyards in Napa Valley, our Chardonnay is characterized by crisp apple, ripe melon and citrus flavors gently balanced with toasty French oak.
Our winemaker uses a malolactic fermentation in moderation to retain the wine’s bright acidity. More than a decade after Chardonnay put us on the map, this wine remains a classic.

While Bouche d’Or may be sweet, it is balanced with bright acidity and crispness. This wine can stand on its own as a dessert wine and also makes a great accompaniment to a cheese course. Hard, salty cheeses like Manchego and aged Gouda pair quite successfully. Less-sweet desserts like lemon meringue tart, grilled peaches or apple galette are also excellent choices. The 2018 Chardonnay B. Thieriot Vineyard is a captivating wine that captures all of the energy this site is so well-known for, but without the austerity that is sometimes found in Thieriot Chardonnays. Citrus confit, mint, chamomile, almond and ripe orchard fruit abound. Deep in color and super-intense, the 2018 is positively stellar.'
