Violet-ruby in the glass, with intense aromas of pulpy cherry flesh, this wine has accompanying flavors of blackberries, almonds, and cloves that mingle well with sturdy tannins and the acidity expected of any self-respecting Italian red. Brovia does not exploit his Dolcetto to make additional cash as his Barolos age sit in barrel before release; the family has always considered Dolcetto an early-drinking wine worthy of attention and take care with its élevage. Briefly decant to release its potential and pair with sausages blended with Italian herbal seasonings, white pizza with truffle oil, or a mushroom sauté.

The house style prizes muscle and brawn in this vintage that lends itself handily to these qualities. Pressed cherry and blackberry cede to licorice, cured tobacco and iron ore. With 53,000 bottles released, this is the estate's most representative Barolo.

Delicious, balanced and refined, Ostinato Fine Ambra Secco is a dry Marsala that is produced according to traditional methods now rarely seen in the appellation, especially in Fine expressions. It begins with its ‘alto grado’ base wine, from late-harvest, low-yielding Grillo, Inzolia and Catarratto old vines. Its higher natural ABV means the wine is less reliant on fortification and is more expressive of Marsala’s indelible terroir. Extended aging beyond the minimum Fine requirements produce a Marsala that resonates with deep vinous character.Sold Out

The sediment in the bottle is naturally occurring. Most sparkling wines go through a disgorgement – the process of removing the yeast sediment for a clear wine. We feel that the sediment protects the wine naturally and gives it more flavor.
This style of wine is often referred to as a “Pet Nat,” short- hand for the French term “Pétillant Naturel,” a “natural spar- kling” wine, or Méthode Ancestrale, because it is believed to be a very ancient style of winemaking.
The flavors encompass orange blossom, mandarin peel, fresh bread, and red berries like raspberry and cherry. If you like the sediment, gently turn upside-down before opening. If you don’t want sediment in your glass, chill the wine upright and pour off until you reach the sediment at the bottom then stop.
