Senses Pinot Noir MCM88 is medium ruby-purple in color with appealing aromas of baked blueberries, warm black cherries and boysenberry with nuances of bergamot, moss-covered bark and a hint of laurel. Medium-bodied and silky, there’s a good bal- ance of earth and fruit in the mouth, and it’s framed by very finely grained tannins and juicy freshness, finishing earthy.

The warm growing season gave this wine it’s rich and dark character. The nose is filled with black cherry, blackberry, cassis, and fig, which is perfectly complimented by the classic PlumpJack sage and mint. The palate is silky upon entry and opens up to juicy blackberry and black cherry. The balanced acid and well-integrated tannin give this wine energy and length and leads to a beautiful raspberry and spice finish.

The 2017 vintage is beautifully balanced from start to finish. Aromas of black cherry, ripe blackberry and cedar are evident at first swirl. After several minutes of airing, the wine opens up and reveals earthy spices of cedar, mushroom, dried thyme and dried sage. On the palate, the wine is delicious with a silky lushness and tannins that are elegant. Rich flavors of black currant, spiced plum and raspberry come forward with notes of allspice and fine leather. The finish is seamless and well integrated. This wine will age beautifully and develop in the bottle for years to come.

A bottle of Hoopla Rosé solves that summertime dilemma when it’s too hot for red wine but a white would match neither the food nor the mood. Hoopla Rosé is blended from a spectrum of black grapes: 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 6% Zinfandel, 4% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petite Sirah, 2% Syrah. The dark color derives from the winemaking process of bleeding red wine tanks (aka “saignée) soon after the start of maceration in order to add concentration to those wines. The bled off pink juice is then fermented separately in stainless steel tanks and becomes a lovely rosé that can be served well-chilled with a range of fish or lightly grilled meats.
Tasting Notes:
Aromas and flavors of fresh strawberries, cherries and tangy cranberry finish with hints of grapefruit citrus and guava nectar.

This is fantastic on the nose with blackberries and forest flowers. Very aromatic. Full body with soft, well-integrated and medium-grained tannins. Undertones of black olives. Love the hints of sandalwood. Drink or hold.

When exploring the section of Oliver's Vineyard from which our Sauvignon Blanc vines spring you'll find an interesting and unexplainable patch of rocks, sand and soil composition, unique from the rest of the vineyard. It's as if something magical or otherworldly transported these physical elements and placed them where they don't belong.
Theories about this spot are whispered in dark corners of the winery, ranging from ancient whirlpools to alien intervention. While we may never know why this particular spot is so different from the rest, just like the wine made from the grapes grown there, it's truly something special. As you savor the 2022 Sauvignon Blanc, the flavors of fresh pineapple and lime, accompanied by aromas of saline and papaya, will make you believe in magic too.

This is our twentieth vintage bottling Heintz Chardonnay and one of the elite vintages for quality and character. We’ve crafted so many memorable wines from these magical vines since I first set foot in the vineyard way back in 1998. The wines are incredibly distinctive, unlike anything else in Sonoma or California as a whole, and that’s down to the special vineyard site itself. High elevation, close to the ocean, long lingering fog influence, late-season ripening, and precise farming combine to give the fruit striking intensity and style. Our 2021 ranks alongside 2002, 2007, 2013 and 2019 as my favorite expressions.
Classic Heintz aromas that are simultaneously exotic and focused: ginger and honey; lemongrass and sweet mint; chamomile and sea spray. Intense lemon and lime oil dominate the flavors with green apple and taut minerals. The texture is deep and layered with tremendous volume and fruit extract. The wine’s vibrant acidity lifts this richness adding tension and freshness. Long echo of savory botanical intensity and lingering flinty edge. Serve no cooler than 55°F and drink between mid-2023 and 2028.

Stretch Drive is another big winner, showing off a viscous, concentrated palate, and expressive, nuanced aromatics. In the glass, the wine exhibits a deep purple hue with a dark violet halo. Interwoven aromatic notes suggest currant, loam, pine bough and lilac. The palate experience offers a pleasing balancing act of dark, complex fruit and finely-integrated tannin. “Dum Spiro Spero” – while I breath I hope – is the Snowden family motto which has appeared on every label and every cork since we began producing our own wines 30 years ago. For our 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon, we are using it to mark a unique cuvée from a unique growing year, when winemaker Diana Snowden Seysses combined the Cabernet Sauvignon which would normally have gone into our Brothers and Los Ricos vineyard designates with Cabernet Franc from our Melchior Kemper block. Diana loved the small clusters and small berries of 2020, which resulted in “spectacular concentration. The bouquet is lifted with violets and beeswax. Plum, black cherry, and Bramble lie beneath. On the palate, the wine boasts layers of juicy dark fruit – it is dense and hedonistic.” Fermented with wild, native yeasts, aged 18 months in French oak barrels, 50% new, and bottled unfined in April, 2022. Due to the fires of 2020, it is the only red wine we will be releasing under the Snowden label from the vintage. 11,220 bottles were producedSold Out

From our dry farmed estate vines, this full bodied, deep garnet 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is dense and rich with long soft tannins and a smooth integrated structure. Greater concentration of flavor is the result of our old world farming practice of deficit irrigation. Less water and a greater skin to flesh ratio equals more intense fruit on palate. Shows black and red current, a touch of cocoa and notes of Christmas spice on the nose. The palate is rich with cherry pie, figs, smoked meats and hints of sage brush. This wine will age easily 10+ years.

This Brut Rosé has an eye-catching pink coral color, robust red fruit flavors and an elegant finish. Pinot Noir is responsible for the wine’s soft texture and forward fruitiness, while the Chardonnay contributes structure and elegance.
A beautiful pink coral color and fresh, vivid aromas of black cherries, red berries and citrus introduce soft red fruit flavors that are rich and mouth-filling, yet retain the elegant character that is Mumm Napa’s trademark.
