"The nose offers up tantalizing tropical fruit scents of guava, green mango and pineapple tart with hints of toasted almonds and brioche...rich, satiny textured and full-bodied...pure expressive fruit, finishing with great length."
Pale yellow color. Aromas of crisp lemon cookies and nectarine. On the palate, light-bodied, layered, and soft-edged. Flavors include lime, baked golden and green apple, nectarine skin. Sweet fruit, pith and bright acid on the finish.
Always best lightly chilled, and paired with light and lower-fat foods. And of course, always lovely by itself as an aperitif, paired with a sunset or a sunny afternoon. Try with a simply prepared filet of white, delicate fish, grilled or roasted chicken with lemon, veggie-based soups such as potato, parsnip or cauliflower, or, in summer, a cold cucumber soup with yogurt and dill.

100 POINT PERFECT SCORE FROM JAMES SUCKING James Suckling
This is sensational with blackberries, blueberries and mineral. Extremely floral, too. Full-bodied but so seamless and refined with polished tannins that just melts into the wine. Goes on for minutes. A subtle and glorious wine that will be a new classic for Napa Valley. An emotional red that touches your soul. Energy. 46% cabernet sauvignon, 31% cabernet franc, 17% petit verdot, and 6% merlot. Very approachable now but better in 2022.
98+ POINTS VINUS
Bottled just a few months ago, the 2015 Continuum is shaping up to be a real gem. The flavors are dark, bold and incisive. In 2015, poor weather during flowering took with it 50% of the production in Continuum's prime Cabernet Sauvignon blocks. As a result, the 2015 has a high percentage (31%) of Cabernet Franc. Today, the Franc is keeping the wine a bit clenched, but that should be less of an issue as time passes.
97+ POINTS ROBERT PARKER'S WINE ADVOCATE
A blend of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Cabernet Franc, 17% Petit Verdot and 6% Merlot, the 2015 Proprietary Red is deep garnet-purple colored and has a wonderfully vibrant, energy-charged nose of redcurrant jelly, Black Forest cake, black raspberries, cassis and licorice with nuances of dark chocolate, camphor, bouquet garni and tobacco plus a waft of cedar. The medium to full-bodied palate is super intense, featuring loads of red, black and blue fruit fireworks, framed by firm, grainy tannins and great freshness, finishing very long with a provocative herbal lift.
Cocoa, raspberry jam, and dried fig highlight a bright, fresh nose that quickly settles into a steady parade of baking spices, black pepper, and earth.
PalateDeceptively soft initially, the wine builds with its viscosity and concentration amidst layers of ripe plum, very fine tannins, and espresso bean. A lively ginger note adds a touch of spice, bolstered by dried cherry, tobacco, and fresh bright cranberries.
FinishThe finish is laser-focused, mineral-driven and persistent, not unexpected in young Cabernet. Delicious now, it will add breadth and polish with time in glass.
This ferociously fun blend has depth, balance and big flavors. The nose evokes black cherry cordial, fresh blackberries, strawberry rhubarb pie, mocha, cedar, dark chocolate, and a hint of graphite. On the palate, it bursts with mixed berry compote, blackberry jam, cacao bean, and toasted walnuts on the finish. The 2018 Chardonnay B. Thieriot Vineyard is a captivating wine that captures all of the energy this site is so well-known for, but without the austerity that is sometimes found in Thieriot Chardonnays. Citrus confit, mint, chamomile, almond and ripe orchard fruit abound. Deep in color and super-intense, the 2018 is positively stellar.'
This medium- bodied Chardonnay displays our signature rich toasted notes of caramel on the nose and through the pallet. Hints of orange blossom and honey balance bright acidity with a crisp green apple characteristic. The chalky-minerality finish lingers with a touch of mandarin creating a wine that is powerful and refined.
The 2016 Proprietary Red Wine Sage Mountain Vineyard may very well be the single greatest vintage made here thus far. It is quite simply a stunning wine and a towering achievement from the Mondavi family. Powerful, ample and sweeping in stature, the 2016 boasts breathtaking intensity in all of its dimensions. I see the pure, vibrant fruit of the 2013, but with more finessed tannins that add to the wine's feeling of real sensuality. Bright, precise and finely sculpted with remarkable persistence and perfectly integrated tannins, the 2016 is positively stellar - not to mention one of the wines of the vintage.
100 POINTS JAMES SUCKLING
Super aromas of blackberries, blackcurrants and blueberries. Hints of fresh herbs and tobacco. Iron and ink. Full-bodied, very tight and powerful, yet not too heavy. Lightly chewy and polished. So much nerve and intensity. Super length and depth. Drink after 2025, but a joy to taste now.

The Bouche d’Or displays a lush nose of apricots, honeycomb and marzipan that greets the senses and opens to succulent stone fruit and white flower aromatics. While Bouche d’Or may be sweet, it is balanced with bright acidity and crispness. This wine can stand on its own as a dessert wine and also makes a great accompaniment to a cheese course. Hard, salty cheeses like Manchego and aged Gouda pair quite successfully. Less-sweet desserts like lemon meringue tart, grilled peaches or apple galette are also excellent choices. The lush vibrant palate is incredibly versatile and hypnotizing.
Tangy aromas of lemon curd meet with warmer touches of Marcona almonds and cider-laced popcorn on the dynamic nose of this bottling. According to many, including David White of The Terroirist Wine Journal, "Thomas Brown is the nation's hottest winemaker." Thomas Brown is one of only a handful of winemakers globally to have received multiple 100-point wine scores (25 to be precise) from penultimate wine critic Robert Parker Jr. of The Wine Advocate, as well as from wine critic luminary, James Laube of The Wine Spectator. In 2010, Thomas was honored as Food & Wine Magazine "Winemaker of the Year."
From Thomas Rivers Brown on this wine...
"The composition of our 2017 Napa appellation wine is a skinnier version of the 2016: clone 4 from Panek, a small upper block of Lore and two blocks from Kennedy Vineyard on Franz Valley School Road in Calistoga. Kennedy was good enough to bottle on its own but with our future there lacking certainty, it made sense to drop it into the Napa. Once again, this bottling gives good insight into how the upvalley fared in 2017. By combining Oakville, St. Helena and Calistoga, we also were able to feature earlier ripening AVAs that are more accustomed to handling the intense heat of Napa’s summer. These two attributes proved to be the perfect combo in this vintage. The wine comes across as more savory than sweet showing notes of gravel, graphite, crushed rock, sage and black fruits. There’s good extract to the wine which gives it a bone dry quality. The barrel program is nicely integrated and sweet oak tannin helps give the wine some generosity. "
Initial dark fruit, spice and baking aromas in the 2015 Opus One are interwoven with seductive notes of violet, black tea, and sage.
