Sacha Lichine, creator of Whispering Angel has done it again with this stellar, new Rose wine. Sourcing grapes from the Var region of Provence and working with winemaker Bertrand Leon, this blend of Grenach, Cinsault, Syrah and Rolle (Vermentino) is bright and refreshing. Named after its transparent pink color, The Pale by Sacha Lichine embodies all the characteristics of an authentic rose from Provence. It is expressive both inside and out and bears great aromatic freshness on the nose followed by more subtle, fruity notes on the palate.
Elegant salmon pink color. Complexity and powerful aromas of raspberry, lime, candy, slightly minty notes, give a very generous bouquet. On the palate, this wine is rich, with notes evolving towards strawberries and blueberries with a smooth minerality, adding freshness, and a long finish with persisting notes of red fruit. A superb Rose!
Commanderie de la Bargemone Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence Rosé
The origins of this estate go back to the 13th century when it was the property of the Knights Templar. The large 400-acre vineyard has produced this fine rich wine, full of ripe red fruits and with a bright herbal edge. It is bone dry, crisp and ready to drink.
Named after an old estate located in the heart of Domaine Lafage, Mas Miraflors, the Miraflors Rosé is sourced from old vines of Grenache Gris and Noir, some nearing 80 years old, planted near the Mediterranean. Added to this is some Mourvedre that Jean-Marc planted here about 15 years ago. This a direct press rosé with the color coming from the skins of the pink Grenache Gris berries, and naturally, from the much darker Mourvedre and Grenache Noir. It is aged in tank for 4 months before bottling.
