From our dry farmed estate vines, this full bodied, deep garnet 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is dense and rich with long soft tannins and a smooth integrated structure. Greater concentration of flavor is the result of our old world farming practice of deficit irrigation. Less water and a greater skin to flesh ratio equals more intense fruit on palate. Shows black and red current, a touch of cocoa and notes of Christmas spice on the nose. The palate is rich with cherry pie, figs, smoked meats and hints of sage brush. This wine will age easily 10+ years.

Canyon Road Winery owns 140 acres of vineyards. The majority of the grapes for its wines are sourced from coastal appellations and selected Northern California vineyards. The California appellation is part of the key to the brand's success, since it allows winemakers to roam prime California sources for just the juice they want.
Associate Winemaker Christopher Munsell and Assistant Winemaker Ondine Chattan are the young, dynamic winemaking duo at the head of Canyon Road who are passionate about one thing: making high-quality wines a part of Americans' everyday dining experience. The winemakers work closely with local growers to assure quality fruit, vinify the lots of grapes separately, and then blend the lots before aging (as opposed to aging each lot and then blending.) This technique—and the expertise used to balance the characteristics of each lot against others—creates smooth, well-integrated wines of complexity and depth.

Cannonau is Sardegna’s version of the Spanish Garnacha and the island’s most widely-planted grape. (Old-timers sometimes spelled it “Canonau”, and that’s what’s on the vintage label.) Cardedu’s vineyards for this wine are in the growing zone of Jerzu, which is historically among the most prized terroirs on the entire island for Cannonau. ‘Caladu’ is the Sardinian word for sunset – one of the many times when you can enjoy this wine. It’s spicy and smoky, with fleshy fruit and dusty tannins.Sold Out

All of the grapes for this wine come from the single 'cru' called Bricco Boschis. This is classic Castiglione Falletto Barolo, combining the clear fruit notes of La Morra and Barolo itself (strawberry, occasionally red-currant) with many other botanical notes supported by middling dark-chocolate tannins. It's firmer than La Morra, but not as beefy as Serralunga. While it can be drunk while young, this will age for as long as you can resist opening it.
Capturing the freshness and finesse of the vintage, this has classic varietal aromas of rose petal, forest berry, camphor and underbrush. Reflecting the nose, the vibrant, focused palate delivers ripe red cherry, crushed raspberry, wild mint and star anise set against taut, refined tannins. Bright acidity keeps it balanced. While you won't have to wait years before enjoying this, it will also age at least another decade or more. Best 2024–2033.
