This Côtes de Provence vintage was low-yielding and high quality, a fine balance between fruit complexity and fresh thirst-quenching acidity. While the hot summer and ongoing dry season gave lower yields, the vines remained healthy and refreshed by their microclimate, providing an ideal marriage of fruit concentration and acidity.Sold Out

The 2022 Opus One exudes charm and sophistication from the glass. Primary aromas of blueberry, cassis, and dried rose petals with underlying nots of olive, cigar box, and graphite create a rich and inviting bouquet. On the palate, bright red-fruit flavors, cocoa, and fresh orange peel waltz together into a harmonious and balanced profile. Long and elegant, the finish delivers touches of wet stone, vanilla, and a hint of coffee. Fine-grained tannins and juicy ripeness signal the promise of a long future in the cellar.

The color is rather intense salmon with plenty of tiny and vivacious bubbles. Quite extravagant on the nose, developed and mature as one might expect from an almost ten years old sparkling. We can find hay, dried herbs, flowers - almost like being on the lawn in the summer, some noble wood, balsamic and yeasty notes. Dry on the palate, vibrant, medium bodied, with intense character and touch of tannic grip. This is certainly not a classic aperitif-style sparkler but one that goes nicely with warm first courses and fish. In top condition.Sold Out
