Build Your Own Burger and Pint Night with Goat Island!

Since their debut at our 5th Annual 99 Bottles of Beer at Southern Napa, Goat Island Brewing has been taking home the trophies! In 2017, they took home the ‘Top Non-hoppy Beer’ title with their Richter’s Pilsner. 2018, they tied for ‘People’s Choice Award for Top Beer‘ and ‘Top Alabama Brewery’ at our 6th Annual event with their Duck River Dunkel.

In January 2019, the 24th to be exact, we wanted to start hyping everyone up for our 7th Annual 99 Bottles of Beer. No better way to do that than to invite the winning brewing team to the house and have a beer tasting. Right?
Well, not that easy. Goat Island Brewing only had two beers available in package and the People’s Choice beer was draught only. Southern Napa does not have a draught system! John Dean (THE Goat Island Guy) and team from Alabama Crown loaded up the Goat Island custom designed, portable draught system and brought it to Southern Napa. It was a genius tap system and we were able to serve pints.

The perfect pairing for cold pints of beer isn’t wings and football. It is a smash burger, made by Jim, ’dressed’ with your favorite burger toppings and enjoyed with your friends at Southern Napa, Alabama Crown and Goat Island Brewing. *See our favorites below.

May 11, 2019, Goat Island Brewing was voted Top Alabama Brewery again at our 7th Annual 99 Bottles of Beer with the release of their Blood Orange Berliner Weiss!

We have missed John Dean, Alabama Crown and you, our fellow beer and wine lovers. This past May would have been our 8th Annual event. We look forward to our next 99 Bottles of Beer. It will be different, as most things in our lives have been since March. In the meantime, don’t forget our furry, four-legged friends at BARC that have been recipients of lots of donations from our event and more importantly found furrever homes for most of those that were socialized at Southern Napa’s 99 Bottles of Beer. We thank you all so much for your support and stay tuned! We will be having wine and beer together soon.
