91POINTS & Cellar Selection from Wine Enthusiast
Only 1,390 cases made.
Brawny in tannin weight and grip, this tight-knit wine is impressively built and in tune with the vintage and its embrace of strength and complexity. Chalky texture is highlighted in tart mountain cherry, graphite and vanilla laced in clove.
Resting just above Oakville, our Atlas Peak hillside estate vineyard’s volcanic soil provides a minerality and freshness to our family Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine shows incredible length and beauty with deep and voluminous layers. Heady aromas of blackberries, crushed pecans and cocoa nibs are met with fine and polished tannins which exemplify the beauty of this vintage. The wine is drinking superbly now and will continue to evolve gracefully over the next 30 years.

90 Points Wine Enthusiast! Rich, soft and mouthfilling, this wine from Francis Ford Coppola has plenty of ripe black-cherry, black-plum and strawberry flavors, a broad mouthfeel and gentle texture. Light on acidity and heavy on fruitiness, it's easy to enjoy.
Bright ruby red with fresh, vibrant aromas of wild blackberry, raspberry jam and cedar box accented by rich floral notes. This wine is juicy and generous on the palate with sweet cherry, field-ripened strawberry, cranberry and just-baked gingerbread. Perfectly balanced with bright acidity and a supple mouthfeel. Fine grained tannins provide an authentic textural distinction and structural depth.
Pronounced Lah-GRAYHN or Lah-GRINE, this cool climate, high-elevation red varietal is a 500 year-old cross between Teroldego and Pinot Noir.
The Praxis Central Coast vineyard has similar climatic properties and was the first American vineyard planted to the varietal. The color of the wine is deep, saturated purple with red highlights.
Aromas of Bing cherry, violets and dark roses evidencing the Pinot Noir heritage of the grape waft from the glass followed by hints of toasted hazelnut from the French oak. On the palate, flavors of pomegranate, blackberry and cherry are complemented by notes of dark chocolate and mocha on the finish. The wine is full in the mid-palate with a long finish and soft dusty tannins.
