Pronounced Lah-GRAYHN or Lah-GRINE, this cool climate, high-elevation red varietal is a 500 year-old cross between Teroldego and Pinot Noir.
The Praxis Central Coast vineyard has similar climatic properties and was the first American vineyard planted to the varietal. The color of the wine is deep, saturated purple with red highlights.
Aromas of Bing cherry, violets and dark roses evidencing the Pinot Noir heritage of the grape waft from the glass followed by hints of toasted hazelnut from the French oak. On the palate, flavors of pomegranate, blackberry and cherry are complemented by notes of dark chocolate and mocha on the finish. The wine is full in the mid-palate with a long finish and soft dusty tannins.
A rich bouquet of apple-butter, honey suckle, lime blossom and notes of lemon candy, which is closely followed by a full mouth of golden delicious apple, citrus, and pear flavors. Hints of lemon and lime compliment the long toasted butter finish.
On the nose, bright citrus aromas are accented by fresh meringue with a hint of vanilla. On the palate, enjoy the essence of Sierra Madre’s unique fruit — rich, mouth-filling flavors of crisp citrus with a delicate, balanced pear finish. 10SPAN’s natural acidity will allow this wine to age gracefully and improve for an exceptionally long period.

A blend of Negroamaro and Nero d’Avola from the Southern region of Puglia combined with Barbera from Piemonte in the North.
A vast array of aromas escape the glass—black cherry, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cured meat—which are complemented by shades of sandalwood, vanilla, balsa and evergreen. The entry is silky smooth with a textured mid-palate of velvety fig, blueberry jam and soft oak. A hint of sea salt on the finish is rounded out with a mouthfeel that fades slowly.
